Gold medal for the exceptional service to the EAO

The gold medal for exceptional service to the EAO is the highest recognition the association can offer. It is awarded to past presidents.

2016

In September 2016, Dr Pascal Valentini was presented with a gold medal in recognition for his “outstanding service” to the EAO. Dr Valentini was EAO president between 2012 and 2014.

2014

In September 2014, Prof Soren Schou was presented with a gold medal in recognition for his “outstanding service” to the EAO. Prof Schou had acted as EAO President between 2011 and 2012 and was also Chair of the Copenhagen Annual Meeting in 2012. Amongst many other things, he was responsible for overseeing important changes to the Association’s Statutes in 2012.

 

Gold medal and honorary membership for outstanding contribution to the field of osseointegration

Gold medal and honorary membership of the EAO is awarded to world leaders who made an outstanding contribution to the science. It is the highest honour that the organisation can bestow on individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the field.

In September 2016, Prof Niklaus P Lang was recognised with Honorary membership.

In September 2015, Prof Jan Lindhe was awarded with a gold medal in recognition for his "outstanding contribution to the field of implant dentistry".

In September 2015, Prof Daniel van Steenberghe was recognised with Honorary membership.

Honorary membership has been awarded to Prof P.-I. Brånemark and Prof Andre Schroeder.

Silver medal for dedicated service to the EAO

2016

In September 2016, Dr David Nisand and Dr Franck Renouard were awarded with a silver medal in recognition for their "services to the EAO" as chairs of the 25th annual scientific meeting in Paris;

In September 2016, Prof Bjorn Klinge and Prof Ann Wennerberg were awarded with a silver medal in recognition for their "services to the EAO" as chairs of the 24th annual scientific meeting in Stockholm.
