Jose Manuel Navarro (Spain)
Chair
Dr. José Manuel Navarro received a Certificate in Periodontology and Implant dentistry after completing a 3-year program at New York University College of Dentistry (Chairman Dennis Tarnow). He was also awarded a Master of Science degree in Biomaterials from NYUCD for his research on high strength ceramics (Chairman Van Thompson). Dr. Navarro has received awards for his research from different societies, including the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) best presentation award and the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) Research Award. He has co- authored several peer- reviewed publications and book chapters and is Co-Editor of the book “High Strength Ceramics”.

Prof. Daniele De Santis earned his Medicine degree (1989) and specialized in Dentistry (1993) and Maxillofacial Surgery (1998) at Verona University. He pursued International Implantology Diploma in Nice (France) (1997) and served as Visiting Professor in Kiel (Germany) (2003). A Full Professor at Verona University since 2022, he is a Visiting Professor in Shenzen and in Zunyi (China) for the years 2024-2027. Prof. De Santis directs postgraduate programs in Implantology and collaborates with international institutions. His expertise spans oral surgery, periodontology, aesthetic medicine, and regenerative techniques.

Nadja Naenni holds a specialist degree in reconstructive dentistry and a Master in Oral Implantology from the University of Zurich. In 2021 she was awared the ‘Venia Legendi’ (PD) from the University of Zurich. Since 2013, she is a full-time Senior Research and Teaching Assistant at the above clinic in Zurich, Switzerland (Prof. Ronald Jung) and spent one year (2017) in Malmö and Gothenburg as a guest researcher (Prof Ann Wennerberg).

Michael Payer (Austria)

Michael Payer – is the vice chair of the Department of Oral Surgery and Orthodontics at Medical University in Graz, Austria. He graduated in 2004 and received a specialty training in Oral Surgery. The focus of research lies within the field of Oral surgery, implant dentistry as well as tissue regeneration. Dr Payer has authored numerous publications in peer reviewed journals as well as several book contributions and is involved in international teaching and lecturing activities.
He runs a private practice in Graz dedicated to Oral Surgery and Implant dentistry. He has chaired the Austrian Society of Oral Implantology as well as the Austrian ITI Section and was actively involved in several EAO working committees.
Mario Romandini (Norway)

Clinician, scientist, and lecturer, Mario Romandini is an Associate Professor in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at the University of Oslo (Norway). He is currently also Co-Director of the EFP-accredited Program in Periodontology at the same institution. Starting from January 2024, he will serve as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Periodontal Research.

Dr. Navarro is a visiting faculty at different universities and maintains a private practice focused on periodontics, prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Las Palmas, Spain and in London.

Amit is also the president of the Association of Dental Implantology.

With an extensive publication record in top-ranked journals, he currently also serves as an Editorial Board member of Clinical Oral Implants Research and the Journal of Clinical Periodontology.
