David Palombo DDS, MSc, MDS, PhD, is an EFP Board Certified Specialist in Periodontology and Implants with a profound interest in the use of microsurgical techniques in the treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases and conditions. He graduated from the University of Milan to further complete a Master in Soft Tissue Management Around Teeth and Implants at the University of Bologna, and the three-year Master in Periodontology and Implants at the University Complutense of Madrid, where he also defended his PhD thesis on the relationships between implants transmucosal profiles and peri-implant tissues biology. Dr. Palombo received several awards for his clinical and research activities, including the 2024 YITI World Series Grand Award, the 2023 Osteology International Case Session Award, the 2022 SEPA best Research Oral Communication Award, and the 2021 SIdP Vogel Memorial Prize for the best clinical case.
