José Manuel Navarro (Spain)
Chair
Dr. José Manuel Navarro received a Certificate in Periodontology and Implant dentistry after completing a 3-year program at New York University College of Dentistry (Chairman Dennis Tarnow). He was also awarded a Master of Science degree in Biomaterials from NYUCD for his research on high strength ceramics (Chairman Van Thompson). Dr. Navarro has received awards for his research from different societies, including the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) best presentation award and the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED) Research Award. He has co- authored several peer- reviewed publications and book chapters and is Co-Editor of the book “High Strength Ceramics”. Dr. Navarro is Section Editor for Clinical Concepts of the The International Journal of Oral Implantology (IJOI), is on the editorial board of the European Journal of Esthetic Dentistry (EJED) and is Editor-in-Chief of Quintessence International in Spanish. He is past chairman of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) Junior Committee and was elected member of the EAO board of Directors in 2021. Dr. Navarro is a visiting faculty at different universities and maintains a private practice focused on periodontics, prosthodontics and implant dentistry in Las Palmas, Spain and in London..

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a former faculty member at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where he was the Chair of the Department of Periodontics until 2022. Professor Ui-Won Jung, who is an EAO ambassador Korea, is working at the department of periodontology, Yonsei University College of Dentistry, Seoul, South Korea. He is involved with implant and periodontology related academic associations in Korea, and also actively working at the ITI section Korea as an education delegate and at the osteology foundation as an expert council member. He was the vice director at the Yonsei University dental hospital with greater focus on research and education. His field of research comprises clinical and preclinical research in implantology and oral regeneration. He has authored over 200 publications in international peer reviewed journals, and won the Andre Schroeder Research Prize in 2018, 2019 and 2021. He is running CE courses for domestic and foreign dentists on the same topics and is also actively participating in many international symposia as an international speaker.

Dr. Lanis is a recognized international lecturer in digital dentistry, oral implantology, esthetics and prosthodontics. He is fellow of the International Team for Implantology where he serves in the Global Education Committee and member of the European Association for Osseointegration, the International College of Prosthodontics and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He has published several scientific articles in specialized journals and books and has collaborated as a scientific advisor with different dental implant companies worldwide.

Takanori Suzuki (Japan)
