Robert Haas (Austria)

Chair

He owns a private practice in Stockerau and Vienna / Austria and is founding member of the Academy of Implantology Vienna. He made his PhD at the Dental University of Vienna in 1998 and in 2010 he was awarded the title “University Professor” by the Austrian Ministry of Science. Robert Haas is a cofounding member of the Austrian Society of Implantology and past vice president and past president. Since 2019 he is board member of the EAO and Chair of the Congress Committee and member of the Scientific board of the Sigmund Freud University Vienna

Robert Haas (Austria)

Chair

He made his PhD at the Dental University of Vienna in 1998 and in 2010 he was awarded the title “University Professor” by the Austrian Ministry of Science. Robert Haas is a cofounding member of the Austrian Society of Implantology and past vice president and past president. Since 2019 he is board member of the EAO and Chair of the Congress Committee and member of the Scientific board of the Sigmund Freud University Vienna. Furthermore he serves in the review board of JOMI, COIR, J Periodontol and OMFS. Robert Haas is a well known speaker at many national and international congresses and training courses. He has published more that 90 scientific articles in international journals and medical books.

Óscar González Martín (Spain)

Advisor

Dr. González Martín received the DDS degree from University of Seville in 1999 and he was appointed as an assistant professor at the same university from 1999 to 2005, while combining to private practice. In 2005, he moves to Philadelphia to obtain the MS degree in Graduate Periodontics and Periodontal-Prosthesis in 2009 from University of Pennsylvania. He received the Arnold Weisgold ́s Director ́s Award. He joined the UPenn faculty as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in 2009 and he currently keeps the position. He became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics in 2009. In 2010, he received an scholarship to join to the Fixed Prosthodontic and Occlusion Department at the University of Geneva School of Dental Medicine. In 2015, he obtained an International PhD at the University of Seville. Currently, he serves as Editor-in-Chief for the IntJ Periodontics Restorative Dent. At the present moment, he teaches in the graduated program of Periodontology at University Complutense of Madrid, Part-time in Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences Harvard School of Dental Medicine while combines to a private practice exclusively in Periodontics, Prosthesis and Implants in Gonzalez + Solano Atelier Dental Madrid.

Ann Wennerberg (Sweden)

Advisor

Ann Wennerberg received her dental degree at the Dental Faculty, Gothenburg University, in 1979. She became Doctor of Medicine in 1996 at the department of Handicap Research and specialist in Oral Prosthodontics in 1997 at the Dental faculty of Gothenburg University. In 2002 she became Professor at the same university. Between 2008 and 2017 she held a position as Professor and chairman at the department of Prosthodontic, Malmö University. Her research has had a clear focus towards implant treatment and in particular studies of the importance of surface roughness for osseointegration. So far she has more than 300 publications in international, peer reviewed scientific journals and she has supervised more than 40 PhD students to dissertation. She has received numerous national and international awards for her research.

Stefan Wolfart (Germany)

Advisor

Prof. Dr. med. dent. Stefan Wolfart is Director of the Clinic for Prosthodontics and Biomaterials of the University Hospital RWTH Aachen, and holder of the eponymous Chair of the Faculty of Medicine at the RWTH Aachen University.

After his graduation from the Philipps University of Marburg (degree in Dental Medicine 1995, Dr. med. dent. 1998), he joined an independent practice near Cologne (1997). He then worked as a research assistant at the Department of Prosthodontics, Propaedeutics and Dental Materials at the Schleswig-Holstein University Hospital, Campus Kiel (1998–2008), where he was appointed senior resident in 2000. In 2001, he was certified as a “Specialist in Prosthodontics” by the German Society for Prosthetic Dentistry and Biomaterials. In May 2006, he gained his postdoctoral teaching qualification (“Habilitation”), and in October 2008 was appointed to the tenured Professorship in Prosthodontics and Biomaterials at the Faculty of Medicine at the RWTH Aachen University. Dental implantology and implant prosthodontics have been his primary areas of clinical activity for many years. Prof. Wolfart’s main areas of research, apart from implantology and implant prosthodontics, include dental esthetics, the clinical performance of new all-ceramic materials, and their associated improvement in quality of life.
