Irena Sailer received her dental education and Dr. med. dent. degree from the Faculty of Medicine, rmany in 1997/ 1998. The comprehensive treatment of patients with multiple restorative problems can be a real challenge in daily clinical practice. Even more if the patient expectations are high, and aesthetics is of pronounced relevance. Implant-supported restorations are a specific challenge, as the treatments are invasive, time- consuming and frequently expensive. Predictable aesthetic outcomes are, hence, highly desirable.
Numerous technological developments of software and devices have led to new workflows for the implant prosthetic rehabilitation of patients and have improved the predictability of the outcomes. The analysis of the patient cases and the planning of treatments with specific software, the pre-treatment diagnostics and try-ins before the initiation of the treatment, followed by printed guides for guided interventions and, finally, computer-aided manufacturing procedures are just some of the recent improvements through technologies.
Artificial intelligence (AI) plays an important role in all these steps and evolves in high speed.
For predictable outcomes good communication and coordination of the treatment steps and sequences is needed. To coordinate the treatment sequences and for predictable, stable long-term outcomes, a structured approach to treatment planning up to the execution of the respective treatment steps is of utmost importance.
The course will teach step-by-step using today’s digital technologies how to achieve predictable results with fixed implant restorations, both from an aesthetic and also a longevity point of view.
